
From the east:
Redmire is easily reached from the A1. At Leeming Bar take the A684 west to Leyburn, then Wensley, taking a right turn for Redmire (about 40 minutes to Redmire from the A1).
From the west:
Leave the M6 at Sedbergh (J37), taking the A684 to Hawes then Bainbridge. Turn left here following the signs for Askrigg, and then follow the road through Carperby to Redmire (about 1 hour from the M6).
From the east:
The East Coast main line (London to Newcastle & Edinburgh) passes through the station at Northallerton. There is a Dales & District bus service from Northallerton to Bedale (service 73) then Bedale to Redmire (service 156). It is also possible to take the service 73 bus as far as Leeming Bar and then take the Wensleydale Railway to Redmire. www.wensleydalerailway.com
From the west:
The closest station west of Redmire is Garsdale Head on the Settle to Carlisle line. It is possible to arrange a taxi from here to Redmire.
From the west:
There is no regular service from the west of Hawes.
From North, East & South:
Dales and District busses link Leyburn with Richmond, Northallerton and Ripon. There is a service to Redmire from Bedale and Leyburn (service 156). This bus links with service 73 from Northallerton, at Bedale, and terminates at Hawes. www.dalesanddistrict.co.uk
The nearest airport is Durham Tees Valley, located east of Darlington. Otherwise, Newcastle and Leeds are closest. It is possible to arrange a taxi to Redmire from these airports.
